RCB won the toss and choose to field first, which worked out grade because the pitch helped the bowlers early on. UP Warriorz never really what going with their batting as RCB consistent bowling took wickets at regular times.
UPW innings started slowly, with the openers finding it hard to hit the ball cleanly. Smriti Mandana steam stuck early getting rid of the UPW opener when she was in good form, which caused a small collapse. The Warriorz struggle to get runs and the pressure of too many dot balls soon showed on the scoreboard.
The middle order battles tried to rebuild but RCB bowlers bolt tight lines and lengths. The Spinners did a good job in the middle over stopping UPW from speeding up the scoring. A short fightback laid in the innings gave some resistance, but wickets falling regularly meant that you bowl could not set a difficult target.
UP Warriorzs Finished with the score that was below average, which always looked easy to chase for RCB powerful batting lineup. Although some battle showed fight, the lack of partnership hurt them on a ground where chasing was expected to be fairly easy.
In reply, RCB came out with a clear plan and Grace Harris set the tone from the beginning. From the moment she came in, Harris loudly in great form, combining power with stylish shots. Her skill to find gaps and hit boundaries easily left UPW bowlers clueless.
Harris Got good support but her fearless style won the chase. She got to her half century quickly, hitting boundaries with a strong dries, powerful polls and clean hits over long on and mid wicket. The UPW bowlers try to different speeds and lens but none of it worked against Australia all rounder.
What made Harris inning better was how obvious he was of the game. She rotated the strike when boundaries became harder to get and took advantage whenever the bowlers made mistake. Her 85 not out of 40 balls had quite a few 4 and 6 is making sure there were no problem in the chase.
RCB reached the targets easily with plenty of overs left, losing only one wicket. The 9 wicket win showed the gap between the 2 teams and showed RCB growing belief as the competition goes on.
From UPW point of view, the defeat exposed the games with batting and bowling. Their failure to set a good target blood pressure on the bowlers who found it hard to stop Harris. The Warriors will need to respond quickly, fix their middle order problems and come back stronger in the next games.
For RCB This will send a message. Grace Harris match winning innings will be remembered as one of the best in the WPL 2026 so far and the teams overall showing will increase confidence going into the important stage of the competition.
