Scott Edwards to lead Netherlands in T20 World Cup

The Royal Dutch Cricket Association KNCB announced the 15 player team on January 12, 2026. The ICC men’s T 20 World Cup 2026 Co hosted by India and Sri Lanka is scheduled from February 7 to March 8th. Edwards will continue to be the captain and wicketkeeper batter.

NDTV Sports said Edward has been key to the team in recent years. His leadership is backed by his play in international T 20s and local leagues. Under him, the Dutch have become a team that can take on high rank teams.

Colin Ackermann is back in international T 20s after last playing in November 2024. Ackerman had a good 2025 Vitality Blast, scoring 304 runs in 14 games for Durham, which adds to the team’s batting.
