My Heart is Totally Smashed, Boss! #INDvsBAN
Okay, so I am still recovering from that huge shock! Our Young India team is out of the Rising Stars Asia Cup, knocked out after losing the semi-final. The match with Bangladesh 'A' was so awesome it ended a tie! Then came that one moment... the Super Over, which just broke all our hopes.
Can you believe this? ZERO runs in six balls! #ZeroRunShocker This is not just a loss; this is embarrassing. But the real problem is not the scoring; the real problem is Captain Jitesh Sharma's brain-fade decision.
Bench the Best Hitter? That’s Just Criminal, Man! #JiteshOut
We had one guy in the team whole tournament—his name is Vaibhav Surayavanshi—who was constantly hitting sixes, he was in full form! Man, when you need runs in 6 balls, what is your first job? Send your best power hitter!
But what Jitesh did? He kept Vaibhav sitting in the dugout and went himself with a partner who totally freezed under pressure. The result? A big FAIL! #VaibhavJustice He literally served the win on a plate to Bangladesh! Who makes such bad decisions in pressure? This was not street cricket, it was a semi-final!
The Most Lame Excuse: 'Team Decision'! #CricControversy
When commentators asked Jitesh, "Bro! What did you do?" he gave the most stupid and overused excuse: it was a 'full team management decision'.
That's it! What more I can say? If you have the best player available, you use him! Done! Fans on social media are going crazy. Everyone are saying this was not confidence, this was a big mistake for which the whole team paid the price. #RisingStarsAsiaCup
Learn Something, Captain!
This loss has woken us all up. It shows that talent is there, but if the captain don't use the right mind at the right time, the game just goes out of hand. By benching Vaibhav, Jitesh played a costly gamble, and in gambling, sometimes everything finishes! #CricketLessons
