Did you guys watch that game? Seriously, what a turnaround! The whole India vs. South Africa T20I series just flipped on its head yesterday. Sunday, December 14th, 2025—Dharamsala were totally electric, and the Indian quicks and spinners was simply phenomenal. We basically walked to a seven-wicket win in the 3rd T20I, hardly even breaking a sweat. Being up 2-1 now? Yeah, I'm not gonna lie, this series feel done and dusted.
Everyone know how crucial it was with the series tied up. The Indian team, despite the chilly mountain air, delivered a performance that was a breath of fresh air—just too good
South Africa's Batting? MIA.
SKY (Suryakumar Yadav) won the toss and choosing to bowl first was a stroke of genuis. The pitch looked a little bit tricky, and Arshdeep Singh immediately made that decision look perfect right away.
Arshdeep Singh (2/13) was electric. He got poor Reeza Hendricks out for a duck on the third ball... you can't ask for a better start than that, right? He hit the ground running!
Then, the drama really started. The debutant, Harshit Rana, who was playing his first senior T20I, looked a little bit nervious but he bowl with pace and fire. He took the massive wickets of Quinton de Kock and the young star Dewald Brevis. Seriously, South Africa at 7 for 3? That was the writing on the wall for their innings. What a disaster for them.
After the quick bowlers, the spinners came on and just choked the runs. Varun Chakravarthy (2/11) and Kuldeep Yadav (2/12) were unplayable. Varun especially, he was super tight, and it's great he reached 50 T20I wickets. He totaly earned it.
South Africa’s only guy who show some fight were their skipper, Aiden Markram. He battle hard for his 61 off 46 balls, but the wickets keep falling around him. They finished up being all out for a very shabby 117 right at the end of the 20th over. Our bowlers was just on another planet. Six different guys picked up wickets—even Hardik Pandya got his 100th T20I scalp!
Abhishek Sharma Just Said 'Let's Get This Done'
Chasing 118 should be a breeze, but the way our guys went about it were awesome. Abhishek Sharma, seriously, remember that name. He walked out and just slammed the first ball over mid-wicket for a six! He meant business and didn't look back.
Abhishek played a ridiculously fast innings: 35 runs in only 18 balls (3 fours, 3 sixes). He won the Powerplay by himself, basically.
His 60-run stand alongside Shubman Gill (who made a steady 28 off 28) pretty much guarantee the match was over bar the shouting. Yeah, Markram took a spectacular catch to finally dismiss Abhishek, but by that point, the victory was already in the bag.
SKY came and went quick, same old story, but Tilak Varma (26* off 34) played the sensible, mature role, just knocking the ball around for a bit. And to finish it? Shivam Dube (10* off 4) came in and hit the winning boundary in the 16th over. Too easy! We didn't even sweat.
Man of the Match
No contest. It has to be Arshdeep Singh. His 2/13 set the entire tone for the bowling effort. Without that killer start, everything changes.
What Happens Next?
This big seven-wicket win gives India a huge boost—we're up 2-1! Our bowlers look sharp and ready for the World Cup. South Africa, though, their batsmen need a serious team talk. If they don't fixed this soon, we are taking the series in the next game.
The action now move to Lucknow for the 4th T20I. Can the Proteas somehow pull a big comeback and force a decider, or will India wrap things up early? I wouldn't bet against them, but I'll be watching for sure!
