There is a cheerful moment among all the Indian cricket fans! Our Indian cricket team of women set a remarkable thing for all the fans. They defeated Australia by 5 wickets and booked there seat into the finals! The one who make this happen or the star of the match was Jemimah Rodrigues, who scored ton, and played a very good cricket and lead the team India to the finals.
About the match: Australia choose to bat first after winning the toss and gave a good target to the Indian team which was 338 run in 49.5 overs. In the first innings there openers gave a very good start to the team, but later on there was the time of the comeback of India team bowlers, they made a very strong comeback in the game with the help of Phoebe Litchfield’s century (119).
In the response from the Indian teams after so many ups and downs, they scored 341 in 48.3 overs. Breaks the record of run chasing and finalized themselves for the finals. Now India will face South Africa on Sunday.
In the starting India didn't give a good start and lost openers Shafali Verma at only 10 runs! She was trapped leg before wicket by Kim Garth. In the 10th over, Grath also dismissed Smrit Mandhana at only 24!
In the south critical time, the pair of Jemimah and Harmanpreet not only steadied the innings but also scored good runs quickly. They both form a very good partnership of 167 runs for the 3rd wicket. But later this partnership broked up by Annable Sutherland by taking the wicket of Harmanpreet in the 36th over.
